BEAUTY TIP: Using Makeup to Cover Acne

We all know that acne can be a problem when it comes to looking and feeling your best. Well, there's hope for those who suffer from acne. Makeup can be helpful when trying to cover up acne marks, blemishes and dark spots. Below I have listed some tips when using makeup to cover up acne.

1. Start off with a clean and moisturized face.
- A clean face will allow for a smoother application and prevent bacteria and other germs

2.Use Concealer
- Green Tinted Concealer: when applied this concealer helps to cover red blemishes
- For dark spots, use a yellow based mineral concealer

3. Apply Foundation
- For those with acne, foundation should be applied with either a makeup wedge or brush
-brushes should be cleaned daily to prevent bacteria which could aggravate the acne
- Use oil-free or noncomedogenic makeup, these should not irritate the skin
- Set makeup with powder and you are good to go!

SUMMER TREND: COLOR BLOCK

One summer trend evey makeup maven should try is a bold color on the lids. Playful colors such as blue, purple, orange and green on the lid is a great way to switch up your normal makeup routine and get ready for the summer.

The trend has been seen recently on the runaways and in magazine ads. The trend calls for a bright color splashed across the lid paired with a bright lip color. However, if you are not that daring I suggest you pair the bold eye color with a nude lip.

Warning: the two bold colors should be worn either after work or for a night on the town.

Another tip is to apply white eyeliner on the water line to make the look pop even more. The next and final step is to curl those lashes and add some mascara and you are good to go.

Achieving the Perfect Red Lip

Rocking red lips always makes a girl feel fierce and like she can accomplish anything. However,do you know to get the perfect red lip? Below are some tips on how to get the perfect red lip.

Tips

1. Exfoliate lips, you can do this by simply applying a sugar scrub across the lips. Exfoliating the lips will create a smooth surface and remove any dead or dry skin.

2. Line lips with red lipliner to prevent lipcolor from bleeding. Liner will also help lipstick last longer.

3. Apply lip balm to serve as a base and prevent lipstick from staining your lips.

4. Apply your favorite red lipstick.

5. Apply concealer around the lips to give you a sharper red look.

Also, try Cliche Cosmetics Pin Up lipstick to achieve the look.

Beauty Tip: Finding The Right Blush For Your Complexion

Here at Cliche, we're all about giving the best beauty advice to help you find products that work for you. Have you ever bought blush thinking it was gorgeous in the package but come to find out when you put it on it just didn't look good on your face? Maybe it was too light or just didn't look good with your complexion. Well, ladies there's hope to finding the blush that is right for you. Recently, I began reading Bobby Brown' s book Beauty Rules in which Ms. Brown tells you the shades of blush that are right for your complexion. Below is the the blush color she suggests for different complexions and the recommeded Cliche Cosmetics blush.

For pale skin, soft pastels without brown tones are suggested. The DCF Pink blush would be ideal for this complexion.

For light pale skin, try pink tones to bring out your skin. Chic blush would be the ideal blush for light pale skin.

For medium skin, sandy pink to tawny tones would be ideal, I suggest Mango blush.

For those with yellow or Olive Rose skin try deep pink tones to complement your skin. Mango blush would also be a good blush for yellow or olive rose complexion.

For those with a dark or black skin soft plum or deep cranberry tones will instantly warm the face. Two Cliche blushes to try would be Berry or Adobe.

I hope this post helps all of you ladies who continue to struggle with finding the right blush color. Also feel free to comment on this post and tell us your tips and advice on finding the right blush.
